MAC Double Dazzle, brow set and wedge sponges

The Double Dazzle and Rose Romance collections came out in the U.K today. Nothing from the rose romance collection took my fancy, but i loved nearly all the dazzleglasses! I picked up Stop, Look! , Baby Sparks and Date Night. My fave is date night, its very pigmented and looks so pretty on. The three I picked up all are pinks, which I was trying not to do, but the orange toned ones didn't take my fancy, the purple - funtabulous- was way too ''out there'' for me and the others were pretty sheer. Love Alert, the red , looked a lot like venetian lustreglass when i swatched it on my hand. Overall a great collection and im so glad the majority are permanent :)

Last month i picked up a brow set in ''beguile'' and i've been using it everyday since. It really keeps my stray brows in place and gives them a nice, even colour.

Since the weather has started getting warmer i've been trying to wear less make up. My routine lately has been a bit of studio fix concealer where needed and mineralize skinfinish natural dabbed over with a wedge sponge.

Well the MAC Sugarsweet collection came out in the U.K yesterday and I was really excited about going to check it out- the pretty pastel colours were right up my street. In fact, besides the colourless lipglasses, I could quite easily have bought the entire collection if finances allowed! I had in mind what I wanted before going and these were exactly what I bought - butternutty shadestick and lollipop lovin' lipstick. I think this is my new favourite lipstick - well, its only my second lipstick from MAC and my first I hated- but I think it's certainly going to get a lot of use. I love the corrally, green-tone of it and I love the glaze finish. The new creamy texture and sleek packaging of the shadesticks is fantastic, I think butternutty is going to work brilliantly as a base. The eyeshadows were ok, but I already had stars 'n rockets, dear cupcake seemed too close to sushi flower, and sugarshot was a 'nothing-special' highlight. The nail polishes were pretty colours, but I'm sure other brands have similar for cheaper. I think the lipglosses were the biggest let-down. As pretty as they are (the cuboid packaging reminds me of the Dior lipglosses), they were SO sheer. I don't think the 'tri-colour' effect will last long either, they had already started getting mixed up when I arrived in the morning. A nice collector's item though :) I B2M'd 6 empty eyeshadow pots for slimshine in Bare- one i'd had my eye on for a while and I love it! Beautiful natural colour and I just love the half lipstick, half lipgloss effect. I actually asked for lollipop loving in my B2M but the sweet MA said she'd save me a bit of money and gave me the more expensive slimshine as the B2M :) So overall, a happy bunny!

I ordered the Heatherette lipglass in Sock Hop and after a mix up in which I was sent Beat it by mistake, I finally got it today to go over LL lipstick. It's a really pretty combination. I love the coral/orangey colour of the lipglass and how pigmented it is. It reminds me a bit of a more orange-toned Lychee Luxe lipglass.

My E.L.F goodies also arrived (very speedily). I ordered the concealer brush, the smudging brush and some false lashes in natural. I've yet to try any of them yet but will be sure to review them when I do. For £1.50 each, I hope they work out well (yn)

MAC order - new pro pan refills!

So my MAC pro refill eyeshadows arrived in the post today- all 9 of them:

I already have the top 4 in the list, but stars 'n rockets and creme de violet died a mushed up death in two failed depotting attempts, and I didn't want sumptuous olive and shroom to go the same way. I figured I'd keep the two purples as back ups now, as they're not completely un-usable, and I'll sell my sumptuous olive and shroom in the pot form on E-Bay. I did however successfully depot 4 of my potted shadows- Aquadisiac, Newly minted, Beauty marked and Parfait amour. Smoke 'n diamonds and Sushi flower have yet to be de-potted and put in the palette...I'm still grieving for my crumbled purples at the moment, but will risk it one day soon :)

I can't wait to start up another palette, I have 4 eyeshadows waiting to be housed in a palette...
